Happy New Year!! Singapore for only two nights, but it was incredible. We arrived on New Year's Eve, explored Chinatown by day, and found a spot to wait for the firework show over Marina Bay at night - with a clear view of the famous Marina Bay Sands hotel. We were delighted with OVER AN HOUR of firework displays and flying drones!

The next day we hopped on the pristine subway and rode to Little India for some curries and naan that we were missing from Sri Lanka. On our final night, we just had to explore the Gardens by the Bay. Seeing the Supertrees lit up at night was breathtaking. There was also an exhibit at the Gardens during our visit - color changing floating eggs! It was so cool! They would change color to music playing throughout the Gardens. We got lucky seeing these glowing eggs because the exhibit was only in place for three months. Singapore really came alive at night, almost every building was its own light show.

 

After being in developing countries for months prior, Singapore felt like we were living in the future or just back in civilization. We could safely drink the tap water!
